It's a great dating app that allows you to communicate freely and build relationships with successful men or attractive women in your area. Honey has connected millions of rich men with younger. While dating sites and apps like Match.com and OkCupid are great for the general population, you’re the type of guy who skips the velvet ropes and heads straight to the VIP. You’re looking for someone exceptional, so forget POF and Tinder. It’s much easier to connect with your partner by thinking about how you feel about them than by thinking about the dating app. I feel happy and my confidence is higher when I spend time thinking If you want to go on virtual dates with strangers and use Facebook as a networking platform, Facebook Dating is the best place to do that. Surprisingly, for such a normcore app, OKCupid offers 22 options for gender identity and 12 for sexual orientation, making it one of the most inclusive dating apps. This dating app bills itself as “Tinder minus the ugly and poor people”, and Luxy doesn’t disappoint in that regard. Users are specifically screened for both attractiveness and net worth. To get in, you have to survive the 24-hour “vouching” process, where Luxy users vote on your worthiness to join their ranks based on your photos.

There are two kinds of people. One who knows how to grab a relationship from Tinder, the other does not, and not even gets noticed. The 26-year-old single entrepreneur Tom Thurlow devised for the latter group a new app called Uglyr. With this app, people who have been rejected or swiped left on Tinder can find a date. On Uglyr looks do not matter.

Thurlow says judging people on Tinder relies solely on looks. The new Uglyr app is divided into two sections: in the first, you can sign if you are looking for a relationship, the other is for “horny uglies who are looking for nothing more than a bit of no-strings fun.”

Attractive vs. Ugly

Dating App For Attractive People

The Briton use mostly Tinder for dating but bachelor Tom Thurlow said he doesn’t like Tinder and would rather use Ulgyr to get a date or fling.

“Being attractive isn’t an important thing in a relationship at all. With Tinder, people will just swipe left, swipe left, swipe left. The harsh reality of it is that you will only be successful if you’re attractive.”

said the inventor.

“Ugly people don’t get a chance to show their personalities at all. People are judging you solely by your looks. People see it as a game. They log on every day and do their swiping but nothing comes of it because the users are so fickle.”

According to Thurlow, people see Tinder more like a game than an app where true love can be found.

“With Uglyr, ugly people will get dates – as will attractive people who don’t want to date people just because of their looks. There is no swiping or judging on looks. You have to message people and you have to start a conversation with them to find out what they’re about.”

Only in England

He hopes his app will be able to attract old and serious users.

“Uglyr.com pledges to be different by offering genuine singles a home to date, find love or hook-up with others who aren’t fixated on superficial qualities.”

Dating apps are tough on the middle-of-the-road guy. If you are not one of the most desirable men on the app, you probably are not getting much attention.

Aviv Goldgeier, an engineer for the dating website Hinge, recently analyzed the share of “likes” on Hinge that went to the most-liked people of each gender. He found that inequality on dating apps is stark, and that it was significantly worse for men. The top 1% of guys get more than 16% of all likes on the app, compared to just over 11% for the top 1% of women. (Unlike swipe-based Tinder, Hinge is based on a system of “liking” some particular aspect of a person’s profile.)

The reason for this gender disparity is probably not that women are more appearance-focused than men. The most likely explanation is that women, who are generally less likely to initiate contact, have a higher threshold when they do so. For many women, though certainly not all, if they are going to break with gender norms, it is only going to be for a really attractive guy.

In order to put this dating-app inequality in context, Goldgeier—inspired by an ingenious Medium post about the socioeconomic prospects for men on Tinder—considered how it compared to financial inequality across the world. One of the most common measure of income inequality is the Gini coefficient. A good technical explanation of the Gini can be found here, but the important thing to know is that the Gini is measured on a 0-1 scale, with zero being a perfectly equal society and 1 being completely unequal.

The economy for male likes on Hinge has a Gini of 0.73, almost the exact same as the wealth inequality of Germany (pdf). The Gini for females on Hinge is 0.63, closer the more economically equal Netherlands. Still, though dating-app inequality may be extreme, the chart below shows it has nothing on the distribution of wealth in America.
